I have several works in progress. My children's book series touches on challenges kids may face in a light-hearted manner, allowing a little magic, laughter, and love to help with daily struggles.
I am also working on editing my first adult novel, which delves into the mind of a young woman trying to find her path.
How can a mischievous, stinky dog help his human overcome his obstacle of staying focused?
Love and support (and a little imagination) can help you through challenges.
I have changed paths and am now working towards traditional publishing, and therefore won't be illustrating this book. However, Joshua Mitchell-Taylor is the illustrator who helped me visualize my story. Check out his work here: https://www.facebook.com/joshua.mitchelltaylor.5
What if you could just pick up and leave? Where would you go? Who would you be? Would you be content and truly happy traveling the world on your own?
After love and loss, a young woman travels the world searching for excitement, adventure, and perhaps, something more. From the cafes of Paris to the streets of her childhood home, The Many Sides of Me follows Cassandra’s journey in discovering what happiness truly means to her.
I am a wife and mother of three beautiful, and crazy, children. I've always had a passion for writing, but decided about a year and a half ago to finally devote the time to make my dream a reality. I’ve been busy with literary classes, writing retreats, submissions, webinars, and groups. Life is short, the time is now.
I've struggled with parenting from time to time, as most parents do. Though my children are brilliant, loving, and funny, I've felt at a loss with the challenges they face. My youngest is very afraid of the dark and being alone, my other son has ADHD, and my daughter suffers from anxiety. Through our journey of navigating these challenges, my husband thought of the idea of incorporating our children's stories into my books. He also strongly suggested to keep magic and humor in the stories, as all kids should have! I thought the idea was brilliant. We can look at our challenges as just that, a challenge, not an obstacle, and our childlike imagination can help!
With the help and permission of my children, we began the "No, Chloe" series, featuring our funny bulldog. I have other stories in waiting, but for now am putting my focus on these stories I'm so passionate about. Thank you to my children for allowing me to share a tiny glimpse of struggles they sometimes face so others know they are not alone.
